Awaiting Larry Johnson's Resignation
Larry Johnson wants out of Kansas City.
A particularly classic line:
"Hopefully, my future is not with this organization," Johnson told the Star after rushing 10 times for 18 yards in a 16-6 season-ending loss to the Bengals.
Seriously, that couldn't have been better. Listen, Larry, given your 1.8 yards per carry, I'm sure you're not the only person who wants you out of Kansas City.
Oh, right. GM Carl Peterson was fired as soon as the season ended. I wonder if he regrets caving to your contract demands during your holdout, when you and everyone else knew you didn't have it any more. If he'd refused to give you your guaranteed money, he probably wouldn't have been fired. So I don't think you're alone in wishing Larry Johnson weren't in Kansas City.
And, as the owner and general manager of the Doomsday Church of Oblivion, who foolishly held you on the roster for the entire season, I am still waiting for the press conference in which Larry Johnson announces that he wants off my team. He has plenty to complain about -- he had a reduced role in the offense after returning from being suspended, due to the fact that he sucks and can't put up any points.
So, any time LJ. I'll even accept your demands for release via email. Or as a comment on this blog. It doesn't matter to me, as long as you get off this team.
